Both the 450 member Krewe of Dionysus rolls beneath its 27th calendar year on parading on Pontchartrain Energy beneath Slidell, Sunday February 12, 2012. Dionysus remained founded in 1985 through businessmen trying to provide the first all-male Carnival krewe to be able to Slidell. Dionysus' King for 2012 is Ray Judd and also his queen is Lindsey Edwards.
Parade-goers will be able to appreciate the Krewe on Dionysus on it occurs the streets on Slidell on Weekend (Jan. 31). Both the procession begins on 1 p.m.
Named after the older Greek God of winemaking and wine, Dionysus remained established beneath 1985. This will be both the krewe's 31st annual parade.
